The MDT is Monic's flagship fly line, peach pink, 80 feet long, and is available in 2 to 6 weight in double taper only. Even though I have more than 70 fly lines -- my quest for the ideal line is endless -- the MDT is the line that I use now for almost all of my freshwater fishing. The retail price is $54.95
The SKYline has the same GSP core as the MDT, but is sky blue in color and thicker. Fish look up to see their food against the sky and I believe that the SKYline's color results in more wary fish being caught than with any other line, including "stealth" lines. It's easy to see on the water and is great for soft presentations. The SKYline is 90 feet long and is available in 2 to 6 weight, weight forward only. I use this line in 3 weight when the fishing gets really tough and I want as much invisibility as I can get. The retail price is $54.95.
