The CL2, suitable for 3 to 6 weight rods and lines, is machined from 6082 T6 high-grade aluminum bar stock, is 2 7/8 inches in diameter, weighs 4 3/4 ounces, and has a smooth(!) polymer disk drag running on a polished stainless steel disk with a really nice adjustment knob. The arbor is larger than the old post-type arbor, and the reel is extremely well ported. The retail price is $305.
The CK2, suitable for 4 to 5 weight rods and lines, is machined from the same aluminum bar stock, is 3 1/8 inches in diameter and also weighs 4 3/4 ounces. The disk drag mechanism is the same as the CL2, and it also has extensive porting and the same drag adjustment. Of the more than 20 reels that I own, this is the one that I use most often. The retail price is $345.
All Shilton reels are set at the factory for right hand wind (RHW). Please let me know at the time of your order if you want to me to convert your reel to left hand wind (LHW). Additionally, because Shilton reels are carefully engineered, I will enclose a PosiDriv #1 screwdriver for proper disassembly/assembly with each reel ordered.
The complete information is on their web site www.shiltonflyreels.com and their reels carry a limited lifetime warranty.
